The rare southern snow came to Georgia a few weeks ago and we were lucky enough to take a hike at Coopers Gap. On the AT you can see peaks of distant ranges that rise up on every turn. Here they were a purple blue. All around there was quiet in hues of blue.
A timeless hike covered with a blanket of snow and a breaking melon tint sky. Fresh is the morning air with a crunch of crusted snow under your foot.
Stillness in the powder stacked on the trees. Soft and frozen in a memory.
