"The Tasting Room"

The mystery and intrigue of an afternoon in the vineyards tasting room. Wine glasses clink and a woman goes to the fireplace to warm up. The atmosphere is cozy. The ultimate relaxation of sampling wines, people watching and unguarded conversations.

I painted the people as see through jestures to capture the feel of the day with fluid motion. Some of the wine glasses are painted thick with a palette knife to create the swirl of the bubbles.
